Brigitte has over 10 years experience working with children with special needs in the public school, clinical, and home settings. Brigitte earned a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Virginia Tech and went on to complete her Master’s degree in Special Education from George Mason University. While completing her Master’s degree, Brigitte worked as the lead teacher in an infant daycare classroom and as a paraprofessional for a K-3rd grade public special education teacher.
Brigitte worked in the public school system as a special education teacher for 1st-6th grade students with a variety of developmental, learning and emotional disabilities for 4 years. It was during a behavioral training seminar that she met a BCBA and decided to switch from teaching to direct one-on-one therapy as a registered behavior technician.
She went on to receive her graduate certificate in Applied Behavior Analysis from George Mason University. After graduation, Brigitte earned a scholarship to attend Morningside Academy Summer Institute in Seattle, Washington where professionals learn how to teach academic, organizational, and motor skills to fluency. Brigitte became a Board Certified Behavior Analyst in February of 2019.
